Uh, south might be the long way there.... I believe this belongs to the newest member that just posted earlier today. He's in Portugal.

Seja bem-vindo!

1968 W110 200D in what looks like good condition, and a whole lot of other Mercedes to go along with it: https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/d/yelm-70s-80s-mercedes-diesels/6839738256.html

An elusive 230S, for far too much money.

It only takes 1 German to pay that as long as the body is somewhat rustfree and no rattle snakes in the trunk. 8) ;D

Those bundts are an abomination, but it's an otherwise beautiful car.

Interestingly, I have noticed that since Craigslist imposed a fee for posting automobile for sale listings, the volume of listings I see has dropped significantly. I search Craigslist nationally on a daily basis for all Mercedes' from 1940 through 1967. Last week there were probably 80 or so listings that I was getting hits on. Today it was 8.

Nice looking 200 in beautiful Stoughton, WI:

Love the green! That's a really unusual color scheme.

For sure you do not see the green interior very often.

Seller of this car is just getting ready to unload it. I've been helping them get pictures posted on BenzWorld. It's pretty much toast in my opinion, but they don't seem to acknowledge this when I discuss it. That makes me think that this is one of those "Grandpa always said his car was worth $XXXXX!!!!" situations, but I may be wrong. I've tried to temper my discussion by pointing out the obvious, like the swiss cheese rockers, smashed roof, etc.

Anyway, it's in central Wisconsin somewhere. No price yet, the owner is fishing for values. I told them I think under $1,000 based on condition. Again they have never responded to my opinion in this area, so they either have unrealistic expectations or don't want to hear it, I'm guessing.

I get dibs on the radio - it's my finder's fee.
