Hi Squiggle Dog - thanks so much. That is exactly what I was looking for.

I posted the query on the SL113 forum and drew a blank. I must remember to get on to this one as first port of call.

I did search Authentic classics website too !!

Mechanical / Clips for wiring loom / hood release cable

Does anybody know the part number of the clips which are used to hold both the wiring loom and hood  release cable inside the engine bay of a W111. As per the picture.

Mechanical / Re: Engine Mount Limit Stops

Hi Hans,
Thanks for replying. The limit stops on the top of the subframe mounts were definitely W113 only. However, according to my maintenance manual the ones on the engine mounts were used on all models. It even details separate instructions for how to fit them to the correct dimensions, the W113 used a different method.

Mechanical / Engine Mount Limit Stops
« on: December 31, 2019, 07:02:09 AM »
Hi all,

The "limit stop" hardware was missing from the engine mounts when I removed them from my car (1963 220SEb).

As per the image below my car should have the hardware on the left (parts 2, 14 plus the stud and 2 nuts) but it is all missing.

Does anybody know if I can I fit the later version hardware shown on the right (parts 6, 8 & 12) which is more readily available?

Thanks Squiggle Dog I will look out for those anyway.

I have actually managed to find some original NOS inner and outer sills and was wondering whether replacing will be easier than repairing.

Hi all,
Does anybody have any pictures of the sills (rocker panels) being replaced on their car? I am trying to get an idea about how the inner sill is fitted.
Also if anybody has replaced the jacking points as these little box sections can be bought individually.

Hi Hans,

I am across the border in Portugal. I would love to hear if you find any really good specialists you could recommend as your restoration progresses.

Mechanical / Re: Correct (Modern) Tire Sizes?

I have just been through this exercise myself. I agree with Sqiggle Dog. 185/80/13 is the modern size for your 5 x 13 wheel.

Hi All,

I am a Brit living in Portugal. I have 63 220SE Cabrio (driver quality from California) and a 69 280SE Coupe (basket case from Oklahoma).

I have spent a lot of time on the SL113 forum and can't say enough about those guys. A brilliant resource with super helpful people.

Anyway I look forward to both learning and contributing on this board too.

Best Regards
